Orthovisc is a high molecular weight hyaluronic acid injection used to relieve knee pain caused by osteoarthritis. This non-animal derived, biologically compatible viscosupplement contains highly purified sodium hyaluronate. It contains a high concentration of hyaluronic acid (15 mg/ml) and is injected directly into the knee joint. Orthovisc helps reduce joint pain and improve functionality, with effects lasting up to 6 months. One package contains a single-use 2 ml syringe.
