Joint treatments
The goal of joint treatments is to protect cartilage, improve range of motion, and reduce pain in cases of degenerative or inflammatory joint diseases. The formulations—typically high-molecular-weight hyaluronic acids—create a viscoelastic layer within the joint, thereby improving lubrication, reducing friction, and alleviating inflammation. Joint injections are usually performed on an outpatient basis under sterile conditions and can be effectively combined with physiotherapy or other conservative treatments. They are commonly used for the knee, shoulder, and hip, particularly in mild to moderate osteoarthritis cases.
